Will I be awake during the procedure?

Not if you don't want to be. We offer IV sedation in-house at our Miami oral surgery center, administered by Dr. Dimitrov himself — who is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon (ABOMS) and also board-certified in anesthesiology. Most patients choose IV sedation for wisdom teeth removal in Miami, surgical extractions, and longer procedures, and have little or no memory of the surgery.

Is this a real specialist or a general dentist who also does surgery?

Dr. Dimitrov is a Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (ABOMS) — that means 4+ years of hospital-based residency at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital, beyond standard dental school. He completed his training as Chief Resident and maintains hospital privileges at Baptist Hospital and Doctors Hospital.

Will Dr. Dimitrov personally do my procedure, or will it be a rotating associate?

Every procedure at Love Your Jaws is personally performed by Dr. Dimitrov — no associates, no rotating staff. Whether it's wisdom teeth removal, jaw surgery in Miami (orthognathic surgery), or Yomi robotic dental implants in Miami, the surgeon you meet at your consultation is the surgeon who operates on you.

How does payment work?

We provide a written cost estimate before any procedure begins. We accept most major credit cards, HSA/FSA, and CareCredit financing. As a private specialist practice, we will review any PPO plan for applicable out-of-network benefits and submit claims on your behalf.
