To help your first visit go as smoothly as possible, we have compiled the essential information you’ll need regarding scheduling, insurance, and clinical protocols.
Your First Visit: The Consultation
Your initial appointment will typically consist of a comprehensive consultation. During this visit, Dr. Dimitrov will:
- Review Your Medical History: Including any current medications or underlying conditions.
- Perform a Clinical Exam: Utilizing high-resolution 3D Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging to evaluate your bone structure and anatomy.
- Discuss Treatment Options: We believe in patient education. We will explain your diagnosis and the proposed surgical plan using 3D digital models.
- Anesthesia Planning: If surgery is required, we will discuss the best sedation or anesthesia options for your comfort.
Please Note: Surgery can often be performed the same day as the consultation for minor procedures. However, a complex medical history or procedures requiring General Anesthesia or IV Sedation will require a separate evaluation and a second appointment for the surgery.
Scheduling & Office Policy
Our office is open Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday, 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM. We respect your time and make every effort to stay on schedule; however, as a surgical practice, emergencies can occasionally cause delays. We appreciate your patience.
- Appointment Requests: You can request an appointment online or call us directly at 305-661-5297.
- Cancellations: We request at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations so we may offer that time to another patient in need.
Insurance & Financial Information
Navigating insurance for oral surgery can be complex because it often bridges the gap between Medical and Dental coverage.
- Insurance Coordination: While Love Your Jaws is a fee-for-service surgery center, Delta Dental Insurance is currently the only insurance provider we accept in-network. However, our expert administrative team will assist you in maximizing your out-of-network insurance benefits and provide a transparent, detailed estimate of any expected out-of-pocket costs.
- Payment Options: For your convenience, we accept cash, all major credit cards, and specialized healthcare financing through CareCredit.

This combination means a single trusted expert oversees every aspect of your care, from your first consultation through your recovery follow-up.
When you're at Love Your Jaws, you're treated by the doctor - not handed off to an associate or a rotating staff member. Every procedure - from a single wisdom tooth to a full-arch reconstruction - is personally performed by Dr. Dimitrov in our Miami surgery center.
